Vietnam has joined the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention. The Convention will enter into force for Vietnam on September 11, 2026.
This is an important change. For eligible public documents issued in a country where the Convention applies with Vietnam, a single Apostille can replace the traditional multi-step consular legalization process.
